MEET THE ARTIST
Tiffani Wetherbee's life has been filled with creativity with much of that creativity can be attributed to her life spent living around the world.
She was raised in West Africa, has spent time living in Europe, and México, and art, in all its forms, has been a constant theme in her life. Her influences have come from beauty of the diversity and differences in perspectives she has seen while living abroad.
Her desire to be creative led her to first begin performing as a singer in her teens. singing led Tiffani to explore other outlets that would allow her love of art and creativity to grow.
As a young educator, she found herself living in West Africa and for over a decade she was able to pursue her music, photography, and painting. Her first photography show was at the American Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria.
She began painting for small local galleries just for fun and discovered that this medium truly spoke to her soul. She was also a member of three bands and recorded two albums. After marrying and having two children, she relocated to Zihuatanejo, where she began designing jewelry and started Abeja Design. Now, with her husband and two children, she resides in the Pacific Northwest, where she has been able to continue her pursuit of painting, photography, jewelry design and music. Her next adventure on the horizon is to move to San Jose del Cabo, México in the coming years where she plans to build her studio and focus primarily on painting.
